Biodiversity Law Solutions is a specialist legal consultancy working with clients who require legal agreements in relation to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), and other nature-based, rewilding and natural capital projects.
Our clients include land owners & land managers, developers, private investors, charities and community groups.
The primary focus of our work is on drafting, reviewing and negotiating the legal agreements that give effect to your project aims. This might relate to the compliance requirements of BNG legislation for landowners and developers or more widely to other commercial, charitable and community nature-based projects. We also handle dispute resolution where required.
We are based in the South West, but we act for clients all over the UK. And we are happy to work on a collaborative basis alongside your own advisers to deal specifically with the natural capital elements of your project.

Biodiversity Law Solutions has been founded by Rupert Bedford, Senior Consultant Solicitor at Setfords (UK top 100 law firm), to provide a specialist legal service in relation to the emerging field of natural capital. Rupert has a background in property law and litigation and holds a Masters in Environmental Law. He collaborates with a small team of specialists at Setfords to provide bespoke solutions for his clients.
Rupert is a member of the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association (UKELA).
