Our community environmental law practice is based in the Southwest and we have a particular expertise/interest in cases involving rural, coastal, agricultural & countryside issues including threats to open green spaces, trees, woodlands and other wildlife habitats, rights of access to the countryside, as well as pollution, contamination and climate change.

Using the Law

Whilst there is a well established body of ‘environmental’ law in the UK, it is in fact ‘planning’ law and ‘public’ law (or ‘administrative’ law) which is most often used by communities seeking to protect their local environment from harmful development and practices.
